Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SEOULMATE, including seoulmate.travel and our related pages. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using SEOULMATE, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.

2. What SEOULMATE provides

SEOULMATE is a free travel-planning service for Korea. It offers curated local recommendations, travel resources, saved itineraries and suggested public-transit routes. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep your password private.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Tell us right away at seoulmate.official@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. Acceptable use

When using SEOULMATE, do not:

  • break any law or anyone else’s rights;
  • try to access other users’ accounts or data, or interfere with the service’s security;
  • scrape, copy or resell our content or data in bulk;
  • overload or misuse the route planner or contact form, including with automated requests;
  • send spam, harmful code or misleading messages.

5. Recommendations and routes

Our recommendations reflect our team’s local knowledge and may change over time. Opening hours, prices, transit schedules and availability can change without notice.

Suggested routes are generated automatically with the help of AI and may contain mistakes. Always confirm directions, last trains and exits in an official map or transit app such as NAVER Map or KakaoMap before you travel. You are responsible for your own travel decisions and safety.

6. Third-party places and links

SEOULMATE links to maps, social media, articles and businesses that we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content, services or practices, and visiting them is subject to their own terms.

7. Business partners

Local businesses may partner with us for featured placement, multilingual listings or campaigns. Paid or sponsored placements are clearly disclosed. Restaurant analysis reports are based on publicly available customer reviews and are shared with the businesses concerned.

8. Our content

The SEOULMATE name, site design, text, curated lists and reports belong to SEOULMATE or our licensors. You may use them for your personal trip planning. Please do not copy or republish them without our permission.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the information you add, such as your profile photo and messages. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you.

10. Disclaimers

SEOULMATE is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no guarantees that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any information will be accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, SEOULMATE is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying on recommendations, routes or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute will be handled by the competent court in Seoul, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will give notice on the site. Continuing to use SEOULMATE after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
